What: This is a two-part course, the first part in in a classroom setting and the second part is in the field at a hands-on campout. Both parts are required to be considered a fully trained adult leader.

It is for Boy Scout youth, First Class Rank or above who will be serving in a leadership capacity within their Troop. Minimum age is 12 years old at time of course.
When: November 5th and 6th, 9am-5pm (it will be the same course both days, so there is no need to attend both)

What: Two experienced Philmont staff will present a crash course in trek preparation. We will cover everything from selecting gear and preparing physically to selecting your itinerary and youth leadership positions. We will answer all the questions you have with up-to-date Philmont policy.
